Library & Information Science considers the questions of documentation, with the aim of facilitating rational understanding across all disciplines, and for all sectors of society.

Our specific interests are: concepts of information, documentation and understanding; human information behaviour and interaction; information organisation and retrieval; information history; foundations of the information sciences; publishing and dissemination; information management within and beyond galleries, libraries, archives and museums.

 

Our internationally renowned London Library School, #citylis, offers cutting edge masters courses in Library Science and Information Science. Both courses are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). We also offer a PhD Programme.
