Dr Audrey S Paterson

Dr Audrey Paterson joined Heriot-Watt University in 2002 having previously held a research post at the University of Edinburgh. Audrey is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting, a member of the Senate of the University, Dean’s Representative and is the Director of Postgraduate Research in Accounting. Audrey is currently involved in several research networks which include the Institute of Public Sector Accounting Research (IPSAR), the Healthcare Accounting and Management Research Network (HAM) and the Academy for Accounting Historians. She is also the founder of the Accounting for Society and the Environment (ASE) research network.

 

Audrey’s research interests are primarily in the area of:

  • Public sector accounting and health care management.
  • History of accounting as it interfaces with medical practice.
  • Gender issues in the accountancy profession.
  • Accounting for Society and the Environment.

 

Akira Yonekura is currently an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University, Director of Undergraduate Teaching Programmes for Accounting, Economics & Finance and a member of the Accounting for Society and the Environment (ASE) research network. Akira’s research and teaching interests involve a critical analysis of current and historical accounting and corporate governance practices in their socio-economic, political and cultural contexts.

 

Dr Fredrick Changwony is an Early Career Fellow at the University of Stirling. Fredrick is a qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). His main research interests lie in the area of public sector accounting and finance with a particular focus on anti-fraud and corruption measures.
