Dr. James Benedict Brown
James is a writer and teacher of architecture. He studied for his BA (2004) and MArch (2008) at the University of Sheffield and wrote a PhD on live projects in architectural education at Queen's University Belfast (2012). He has held permanent and sessional academic posts at Norwich University of the Arts, Nottingham Trent University De Montfort University, Leicester and the University of Nottingham. He currently supervises MA students in Architecture, Interior Design and City Design at the Royal College of Art, London. He is the author of the forthcoming book Mediated Space (RIBA Publishing, 2018) and the co-editor of A Gendered Profession (RIBA Publishing, 2016), the Editor of Charrette, the journal of the Association of Architectural Educators, and producer of the Arch. Ed. Podcast.
