Dr Stephanie Carty (previously Hutton)

Dr Stephanie Cartyis a writer, NHS Head of Psychology and a practising consultant clinical psychologist, with a teaching qualification in higher and professional education. She has published short fiction, poetry and non-fiction (see stephaniehutton.com). In 2017/18, Stephanie was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, Bristol Short Story Prize, Bath Novella in Flash Award, and was a finalist in Aesthetica Creative Writing Award. Her debut novella Three Sisters of Stone was published by Ellipsis and won the novella category in the Saboteur Awards 2019. She is completing edits on her first novel represented by Sheila Crowley at Curtis Brown.
