Dylan Fox graduated from The University of Northampton (UoN) BA (Hons) Fine Art with 1st Class honours, Dylan Fox participated in Free Range in London. From 15 universities, he was selected as Best In Show and awarded a solo show in 2017, which featured in Aesthetica Magazine and AN. During 2016/17 He held the position Print Fellow at the UoN and mentored students.

He now lives and works in the Midlands, holding a studio at NN Contemporary Art where A Manipulation of Terms is on view from Saturday 7th April to Saturday 16th June 2018.

Through a practice that is largely dialogical and participatory, Fox explores the physical, medical, emotional and social aspects of gender transition; specifically, the frustration felt with inefficient transgender healthcare pathways. His work is hinged on how normative beliefs affect people, aiming to question and shift these constructs and generate new work through social interaction, working in conjunction with other artists and the public. His participatory pieces are designed to replicate feelings of frustration and lack of control felt through gender transition, with a focus on waiting, developing projects where participants endure a similar experience of ambivalence. These works are comprised of, but not limited to, printed matter, found objects, moving image & sound.
