Early Years Inclusion and Childcare Service

The Early Years Inclusion and Childcare Service is a service within Leicestershire County Council.

The Workforce Improvement Team commissions and provides training and development opportunities for the Leicestershire Schools and Private, Voluntary and Independent Childcare Sector.

Individuals who are not part of a provision registered on either part of The Childcare Register in Leicestershire may attend some of our training courses but will need to pay the rate for ‘Non-Leicestershire Early Years Registered Provider’ including nannies.

By submitting a course booking you agree to the following Terms and Conditions including giving consent for us to use and process the data you provide us with in line with the law on data protection and Leicestershire County Council’s Data Protection and Privacy Policies which can be found here:-

For courses being delivered 'virtually' over the Autumn Term during the COVID-19 pandemic the cancellation policy below does not apply due to the highly subsided rate we are offering these courses at. Refund requests will be handled on a case by case basis.

We are currently trialling a ‘7 days’ notice’ cancellation policy: -

Remember you can log into your Eventbrite account and change the details of each delegate (ticket holder) at any time prior to the course taking place.

Where a course is FREE you can cancel your place without incurring a cancellation charge, you do this on Eventbrite. However, if you cancel a place or fail to attend after the 7 days cancellation offer has ended you will be charged £25 (childminders) and £50 (nursery/pre-school). This will be recovered either through deducting FEEE payments or raising an invoice.

Where a course is chargeable you can cancel your place and request a refund, you do this on Eventbrite. However, if you cancel a place or fail to attend after the 7 days cancellation offer has ended you will not be entitled to any refund of booking fees made.

If you need to cancel your place on ANY course and you inform us at least 7 days in advance of the course we may be able to offer you an alternative date within the same term.  An alternative includes courses charged at the same value or less, no refund of surplus fees will be made if you move to a course with a lower booking fee.

If Leicestershire County Council cancels a course for any reason we will offer an alternative course or date or refund of fees paid.
