Elizabeth Wilkinson aka @EliTheDDC Founded Dyslexia information Day and Dyslexia Awards. .

Dyslexic herself, Elizabeth passionate about raising dyslexia awareness in Shropshire and knows that the first step for any age is to have access to reliable, useful and trustworthy information and awareness of services available; she knows firsthand how this can empower and change lives!

The Dyslexia information Day events are FREE to visitors and exhibitors; at some venues you will need to pay for parking, but you will not have to pay for entry to Dyslexia information Day event, or for advice and guidance!

As well as being dyslexic Elizabeth is also autistic and is determined to raise dyslexia awareness in Shropshire and beyond; Elizabeth does not profit or gain from these events, in fact for the last 10 years she has actually funded, and run them totally free of charge and without getting paid for her time or reimbursed for the the resources used to make these events happen.  As of DiD18 we will be using the profits raised from the sale of the refreshments to help fund taking DiD back out into the community once a year, so that we can run two events a year again.

Elizabeth feels it is important that you are aware that these events are supported and only made possible with the ongoing support and dedication of amazing people, businesses and organisations such as:

In The Loop - the refreshments sponsor, raising money for the craft activities,

Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust

Special-T assessments

In The Shed

Last but by NO means least HUGE thanks to all the wonderful and dedicated DiD volunteers who give their time freely and with such dedication, joy and huge smiles!
