Embassy of Israel, presents '70 Years of Israeli Cinema'

Don’t miss out on this four-day film event showcasing critically-acclaimed cinema from Israel. 70 Years of Israeli Cinema will screen a wide variety of films at the Curzon Cinema in Soho, from 25th-28th October. These films from some of Israel’s leading directors come under four different themes: women, immigration, the LGBTQ+ community, and the place of tradition in society.

A variety of films are on offer: comedy, drama and feature-length documentaries that not only give an insight into life and society in Israel but also shine a light on universally-pertinent subjects.

Deepen your understanding of each film by staying for special Q&A sessions with London-based Israeli film expert Asher Tlalim after the screenings. Learn more about the illustrious career of film director Rama Burshstein. Asher will host two extra special sessions with Rama- the first Orthodox Jewish woman to find commercial success in the film industry.
