Emery Walker's House

Renowned typographer and printer, Sir Emery Walker was an active member of the Arts & Crafts movement. The interiors of his home at 7 Hammersmith Terrace reflect this aesthetic and his close relationships with key figures in the movement including William Morris and Philip Webb. Highlights in what is considered the most authentic Arts & Crafts home in Britain include Morris & Co hand blocked wallpapers and hangings, tiles and ceramics by William de Morgan and Alfred and Louise Pile, Philip Webb furniture, an Edward Burne-Jones drawing and a beautifully embroidered bed cover by May Morris.
