About EO
Founded in 1987 (by Verne Harnish - Rockefeller Habits/Gazelles, and 22 former members of the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs), with the mission “Engage leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow”, EO is the only global network exclusively for entrepreneurs. EO helps entrepreneurs learn and grow through peer-to-peer learning, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and connections to experts. Today, there are over 12,000+ members in 150+ chapters in 48 countries.

About EO Pittsburgh
EO Pittsburgh Chapter was established mid 90's by a group of young entrepreneurs that were primarily from the Pittsburgh area. Their initial efforts was just from 8 members and throughout the last 20 years we’ve evolved to a vibrant, diverse, and active membership.

The members represent the following industries:  Accounting, Advertising/Publication, Automotive, Computer/Software, Construction Services, Consulting Services, Electronic Services, Financial Services, Health/Medical Services, Industrial Services, Insurance Services, Legal Services, Manufacturing, Marketing, Mining Industry, Oil/Gas

Why Join EO Pittsburgh Chapter
Becoming part of the EO Pittsburgh chapter give members global access to entrepreneurs around the world. We are building the largest entrepreneur network in Pittsburgh with the goal to expand to more cities. Each month, members benefit from the forum experience and awesome learning events. Members have the ability to go global by attending annual EO Universities and increase their knowledge by attending the Entrepreneurial Masters program at MIT.    

Main Benefits include
1. Learning events led by topic experts (monthly) - topics range from practical business workshops to inspirational authors to arts and cultural events.    
2. Forum (monthly) - a dedicated group of 6-10 peers who meet monthly to support, learn and grow together.   This is the core of the EO experience.
3. Global member network  - find and meet local EO members wherever you travel, as well as host visiting members in Pittsburgh.  In addition an exciting schedule of international learning events,  "EO Universities” around the world, executive education, and activity focused experiences and groups.
4. More  - build your relationships with Pittsburgh’s most dynamic entrepreneur community as well as becoming part of the world's most influential community of entrepreneurs and global EO family, with exclusive membership website, special benefits,  mentorship program, and startup incubator.  The list of benefits grows each year.

Qualifying for EO
Members of EO must be the owner, founder or majority stakeholder of a business earning a minimum of US$1 million in the most recent fiscal year. Venture-backed companies must have either privately-raised funds of at least US$2 million or publicly - raised funds of US$5 million, and a minimum of 10 employees.    

New Member Process
All applicants should first complete an application to join EO by clicking the 'Read More' link at the bottom of this page. The following 6 steps illustrate the process of becoming a member:   
1. Prospect meets with current EO members and decides that he or she would like to be part of EO Pittsburgh   
2. Prospect fills out application on the EO Global Website (click the 'Read More' link at the bottom of this page)   
3. The EO Pittsburgh Board will review the applicant and decide whether or not to proceed 
4. Applicant’s bio shared with Chapter board for approval
5. If applicant is approved, EO Global will approve them and dues are processed. Applicant pays pro-rated dues (see Fees page)   
6. New member assigned to Forum by Board and Forum training arranged.
