We are members of the public, including members of Chappel and Wakes Colne Women's Institute (WI), who met with our MP, Hon. Bernard Jenkin, as part of the Climate Coalition‘s “Speak Up” campaign in June 2015.

East Anglia is expected to experience frequent droughts, but also increased flooding; hotter days in summer and colder days in winter, and sea level rise at double the global average rate. These changes will impact local wildlife, health, food security and properties.

We organise meetings for the public to learn about the local impacts of climate change, hear about available solutions and ask elected representatives to take action now for a better future.

Hon. Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and North Essex, has chaired two of our public meetings to hear his constituents’ climate change concerns and identify solutions. These were organised through Chappel and Wakes Colne WI, and kindly sponsored by DONG Energy.
