GamCare Women's Programme - East of England

Hi! I'm Polly and I am the Women's Outreach Officer for GamCare in the East of England.  GamCare is a national provider of free information, advice and treatment for anyone affected by problem gambling.  We have received additional funding from the  to deliver a two-year, nationwide . My role is to provide to staff and volunteers in organisations across the East of England to help them recognise and respond to signs of gambling-related harm so that more women are empowered to access treatment and support services.  We believe that shame and stigma around problem gambling means that less than 1% women affected by gambling-related harm seek support, so the harm is often hidden from view and is rarely asked about by professionals. At the moment, all of our training is being offered online via Zoom. Individuals can register to attend the training at their convenience, using a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop.I look forward to meeting you at one the training sessions!Polly
