Garahe
Garahe (pronounced gah-rah-heh) takes its name from the Tagalog word for “garage” — a nod to their humble beginnings jamming in a friend’s suburban garage in Adelaide. What began over three years ago as casual weekend sessions has evolved into a powerhouse seven-piece band with a devoted following and a string of sold-out shows across the city.
Blending cultures and sounds, Garahe draws on the dual-language identity of the Philippines, performing in both English and Tagalog. Their repertoire includes original compositions and electrifying covers of Filipino rock and indie anthems from the ‘90s and 2000s, paying tribute to icons like Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Parokya ni Edgar, Kitchie Nadal, Razorback, Side A, and Yano. Their sound fuses nostalgic energy with fresh arrangements, creating a musical bridge between generations and cultures.
Garahe has graced various stages, including supporting the renowned Filipino band Itchyworms in 2024. They've headlined events like the Beer Garden Live Sessions at Bridgeway Hotel and Oktoberfest 2023 at Everest Event Centre. Their performances are characterized by powerful vocals, tight instrumentation, and an infectious energy that gets audiences dancing.
With an unmistakable love for their roots, Garahe brings a uniquely Filipino-Australian flavour to the stage — uniting communities through rhythm, story, and shared heritage. Whether you're fluent in Tagalog or hearing it for the first time, their music speaks to something universal: joy, passion, and the spirit of homegrown rock.
