Gary Richardson
Gary is an award-winning freelance photographer and author, currently living in Darlington, and works all over the north of England. His work has appeared in national outdoor and photography magazines, on web sites, in calendars and various promotional materials.
Gary's passion for photography centres around his love of the mountain landscapes of Britain. This was first kindled on family holidays, along the west coast of Scotland and the Lake District, back in the early 1970s.
He feels that photography is an art form through which he can turn reality into a personal vision. He tries to capture the feelings and emotions of what he see's through the camera's viewfinder at the moment he presses the shutter.
He does use the tool's of modern digital photography but strives to achieve perfection in the camera rather than by too much digital enhancement. He hopes that his work inspires people to go out and explore the stunning natural beauty of the landscapes around them.
