GM-Connect is a information sharing commission created by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) with the mandate for information sharing across the conurbation. It will do this by exploring and supporting opportunities for using information sharing across organisations to create better value, more timely intelligence for case workers and residents alike, with a real opportunity to streamline services. GM-Connect has a central role to play in the effective deployment of resources, creating efficiencies and preventing missed opportunities for better outcomes. 

GM-Connect has system wide sponsorship at the highest levels including the GMCA Wider Leadership Team and the Health and Social Care Partnership Board Executive. Given the importance of the Health and Social Care transformation programme it has been agreed this will form a focus of the early implementation priorities.
