Hambledon Vineyard is England's oldest commerical vineyard, having been established in 1952 by Major General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones. Today, our vision at Hambledon is to produce the best multi-vintage sparkling wine in England that will make Hambledon and the local community proud and gain universal recognition from the global wine community. We believe there are two crucial elements to producing fine sparkling wines: using the best possible raw materials and working with the best winemakers in the business. Today Hambledon comprises over 200 acres spread over numberous vineyard sites. Each vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – the three grape varieties most commonly used in the production of Champagne.
