FGM Lesson Packs for Year 5 & Year 6 pupils.
Are you unsure how to safeguard girls in your school from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)?
Ofsted requirements are that:
Children and learners are able to understand, respond to and calculate risk effectively, for example risks associated with child sexual exploitation, domestic violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, substance misuse, gang activity, radicalisation and extremism, and are aware of the support available to them. (Ofsted Inspecting Safeguarding, April 2015)
Come along to a session run by Hazel Pulley, Headteacher, Parkfield Community School, (Chair of BAFGM) where you can receive a lesson planning pack, understand more about FGM and receive guidance on how to raise awareness with your parents in your primary school.
Tickets are available from
The training and lesson pack is charged at £50.00 with all proceeds going to Birmingham Against FGM for the continued fight to end FGM within a generation.
