Robin Barker started People Unlimited in 2013 to provide training and consultation to professionals and organisations supporting the mental health of children, young people and their parents / carers. He has trained more than 1000 professionals and provided consultation and advice to organisations across the United Kingdom.

Robin is a Registered Nurse (RN) in Mental Health and an experienced practitioner in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). He has over fifteen years of experience working with young people in the United Kingdom and the United States in various roles including education, health, youth services and policy. He currently works in London as a Senior Nurse Practitioner in a Community CAMHS team within the National Health Service (NHS) and as Project Lead for We Can Talk (www.wecantalk.online). His enthusiastic and informative approach to training harnesses the expertise and energy of those attending to build confidence and skill.

In addition to his Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing from the University of Southampton he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, USA, which he attended on a Hunt Leadership Scholarship. In 2014 he was awarded a prestigious Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership (NHS Leadership Academy) where he worked in NHS England’s national children and young peoples clinical policy and strategy team and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership in Health from the University of Leeds Centre for Innovation in Health Management. He is also a former Professional Advisor on CAMHS to Health Education England.
