Heather Waring is a professional walker, coach, speaker and trainer. She has been walking seriously since 2000 when she embarked on a fitness regime to get fit to walk for five days along the Great Wall of China. She loves to walk and to introduce others to it too and watch everyone benefit both physically and mentally from this wonderful activity. It also allows Heather to indulge in her other passions of food and wine, photography, travel and spending time with others and is in line with her top value which is health and wellbeing.
Heather has been involved in training women to get fit for challenges, in leading walks not only in the UK but in Europe too and has helped others set up walking groups. Her very first group set up in 2006 is still going strong. At present she is training a group of women to get fit for a trip on the Camino de Santiago, which she will lead in April/May 2017.
Burning out in late 2013 and then being diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue, Heather reviewed her entire life and uses the lessons learnt to keep her own stress at bay and to help other women never get to where she got to. Walking was one of her recovery tools. She talks about wondering if she would ever find her glow and sparkle again when things were really bad, but she did. Come walking with Heather and invest in you.
