We are a conservation skills’ studio, offering courses in contemporary conservation practice and design. Our  mission is to encourage new ways of thinking and best practice in the preservation of national heritage.  Based in the West Country, with state of the art workshop facilities and in partnership with some of the region’s most inspirational tutors, we make traditional conservation training a professional reality.

Our building also offers three technically advanced, private and confidential light filled rooms for hire. Break out spaces create areas to reflect and there is access to our art filled main hall with its programme of rotating exhibitions. Outside, in our accessible field is a climbable, ancient oak.

We share the building with an Art Restorer and Architect who help to create a professional, creative atmosphere.

Rurally located, but less than 5 minutes from the motorway, 2 hours from London by train, we have free parking and open space with 180 degree views of the sky.

All rooms have super fast wifi and free unlimited Italian pastries, and tea and coffee from high specification Jura coffee machines – accessible at all times during your visit, so you can enjoy our courses or run your meetings and break times flexibly.

For our commercial guests, we can also arrange for your own ‘pop up’ barista. We work with local partners for coffee, food, catered and non catered accommodation and can arrange transport in order to provide a bespoke service.

Host is fully licensed to play recorded and live music for training events, conferences, meetings and parties by PRS and Phonographic Performance limited (PPL). At Host you can listen to the radio, play music from an online streaming site or from any device.
