Howbeck Healthcare Ltd - Dr Neil Paul - GP & Director, Mike Pyrah - Director
Howbeck Healthcare is an organisation setup by Neil and Mike to help GP federations. We have helped practices form federations and we work with federations to help them achieve their goals and be more successful. So far we have helped bring in over £6Million of new funding/income to the practices we work with and have helped federations win OOH contracts, Comunity provider contracts (£25M) and others inc a £250K DVT service.
We have a model of a not for profit federtion that aims to improve the care to its registered population, standardise and harmonise care to prepare the way for becoming a credible primary care provider, generate new income through winning bids and reduce expendature through a range of innovative back office ideas. Practices in federations we run tell us they might have already gone under if not for some of our plans and this is what drives us.
Neil has been a fulltime GP Partner at Sandabch GP's in Sandbach Cheshire since 2000. He is nationally known for his digitalHealth.net column that discusses the highs and lows of IT in Primary Care and as a speaker and presenter and author in trade magazines such as GP, medeconomics and EMIS USER on topics IT, Data Quality, QOF, Business efficiency and practice finances.
