Irish Literary Society

The Irish Literary Society was established in London in 1892. Among its founders were W B Yeats and Douglas Hyde and other leaders of the Irish Literary Revival. Our monthly lecture programme provides a space for debate on Irish culture with particular emphasis on its reception in the UK. For the Irish community we provide a vital link to Irish academics and artists. We are a membership society open to everyone with an interest in Irish culture. You may also buy tickets for individual events.
