John Fardon

John works as an Education Entitlement Officer - Mental Health, within the Northamptonshire Educational Psychology Service. The training is funded by the Educational Psychology Service and the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board. John has been an accredited trainer in Protective Behaviours since 1999 and is fully supportive of the Protective Behaviours Partnership, who will be delivering this training on behalf of the Educational Psychology Service. It is hoped that schools will be able to use the knowledge and materials provided for this training, to enable children and staff to feel safe and know what to do when they don't feel safe. Knowledge of Protective Behaviours and Child Sexual Exploitation and the signs to look out for, will help staff in schools to empower the young people to protect themselves, develop healthy relationships and be able to share their concerns or worries about themselves and their peers, both online and offline. More materials and resources are found in the Tackling CSE Toolkit launched on May 22nd 2015, available on www.asknormen.co.uk.
