I was previously the secretary at Manchester & Salford Film Society for sixteen years. I relinquished that position to form Manchester Film Weekender to carry on the film weekends previously held at Alston Hall, an adult education centre in Longridge Lancashire, after it had been closed by Lancashire County Council. This season I'm working with Alliance Francaise the French Cultural Institute to bring French Cinema to Altrincham. I have been programming and screening films for over 20 years. Manchester Film Weekender is a member of Cinema for All, an umbrella organisation for community cinemas. All our screenings are at Altrincham Little Theatre 17 Oxford Road Altrincham WA14 2ED.
