Julia Georgallis

Hello, my name's Julia. I'm a baker, food designer and food writer with an entrepreneurial spirit, currently based in London. I write about food and run educational food events. I started my career as an industrial designer, graduating from the Royal College of Art. In 2014, I retrained as an artisan baker, worked in hospitality for a while and now work somewhere between food and design. I’m really interested in the relationship between good food and good education, my mind is blown by food systems (and how terrible and wonderful they can be) and I’m really inspired by social entrepreneurship.

My past projects include educational micro-bakery, The Bread Companion, cookbook and supper club series, ‘How to eat your Christmas tree’ (Hardie Grant) and, most recently, the ‘How to eat alone’ podcast.
