Just Breathe

Community . Connection . Quiet

Community /// It's often thought that mindfulness & meditation are a solitary endeavour.
To sit in the quiet and find your space is something that most of us think must be done alone.

Connection /// At the core of this project is the human connection; with ourselves, with each other, and with the world around us.
Just Breathe is an ever-growing community on & offline that strives to support real people in the real world as they practice Modern Mindfulness in their every day lives

Quiet /// These days the world is a loud place & we need to turn the volume down. We need to cultivate the quiet life. Our aim at Just Breathe are to create and provide the tools, techniques & experience for real world stillness. Through mass meditation, Modern Mindfulness workshops & endless online content, we're here to support your practice in the real world.

Launched in London in September 2016 by Modern Meditator and Social Change Maker, Michael James Wong, Just Breathe was started as a small gathering of friends and local community members who were inspired to turn the volume down. The aim of that first event, or Grand Gatherings, as it's still called today, was simple, to bring together a group of people to sit together, to breathe and just be.  Little did we know that over 200ppl would show up to that first event. And it was a beautiful thing.

So we did it again the next month, and the next month after that. And the community grew and grew and grew.

Now 18 months later as 2018 rolls on, the project is now in full stride with past events at The ShardThe Old Truman Brewery and now planned for The British Museum in 2018, our events, workshops & Grand Gatherings are an oasis of space for Londoners & our growing community all around the world, to step into less... spread throughout iconic locations in the city, easily accessible to all, our Grand Gathering aim to infiltrate the fabric of the city to turn the volume down.

We've started this new conversation, and it's only getting quieter.
