Kathryn Parsons

Hello, I'm Kathryn Parsons. I'm a mixed media artist and I love the small details of nature!

In my work as an artist I weave together tales of nature, place and people. I use different materials and craft techniques depending on the story that I'm telling, often incorporating natural materials in my sculptures... from miniature porcelain fungi and leaf-photographs to life-sized shoes made of sugar! My work has been exhibited at the National Centre for Craft & Design and the Victoria and Albert Museum, and I've created site-inspired pieces for the University of Leicester, John Clare Trust, and Derby Museum's porcleain gallery.

I also run creative workshops for organisations, individuals and groups. I love to nurture creativity and give people the space to connect with the beauty to be found in nature... for their enjoyment and wellbeing.
