Kitchen Table Talks

A light hearted fun forum for girls aged 11- 18 and ladies aged 18+

In order to dispel some of the myths about growing up in Birmingham, to inspire and encourage young girls to be all they are supposed to be without judgement or feeling insecure.

The Kitchen table is a place where mum’s used to sit down with their children more specifically their daughters and put the world to right. Often areas such as sex, relationships and future plans, as well as how to cook a meal and prepare laundry would be good topics of conversation.

In a society where more and more, we are forced to work long hours, and spend countless hours on devices looking at celebrity profiles and “poking” people virtually, these valued conversations are all too quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Kitchen Table Talks aims to be that safe Haven where young girls can come, ask questions and more importantly, be themselves, make friends and have fun.

The first Kitchen Table Talks took place in February 2017 and is now followed by monthly sessions at various locations around the city and wider.
