Lancashire Emotional Health in Schools Service

The Lancashire Emotional Health in Schools Service delivers training and support to Lancashire high schools to help them feel more skilled and confident in identifying, understanding and managing children’s mental health difficulties.

The service provides experienced clinical psychologists to work with schools to increase their knowledge and confidence in identifying and managing emotional/mental health issues that young people in the school may be experiencing.

The service operates by providing a combination of training and more individualised support to staff.

This is a joint initiative between Lancashire County Council Public Health, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and Lancaster University.

The service is staffed by experienced clinical psychologists who will work with schools to increase their staffs' knowledge and confidence in identifying and managing emotional/mental health issues that young people in the school may be experiencing.

All work with schools is free of charge.
