Low Carbon Research Institute, LCRI

 The Low Carbon Research Institute is a consortium of six universities in Wales involved with low carbon research and transitions to a low carbon energy system, covering the sectors of Bio-energy, Built Environment, Hydrogen, Large Scale Power Generation, Marine and Solar PV. Led by Cardiff University, it includes the Universities of South Wales, Aberystwyth, Bangor, Glyndŵr and Swansea. It has core funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and the European Union.
