Malcolm Sargent Festival Choir

The Malcolm Sargent Festival Choir is an auditioned choir of amateur singers with a love of choral music from every part of England, from the South Coast to Newcastle in the North and from Bristol in the West to Aldeburgh in the East.  Members perform voluntarily and pay their own travel expenses to rehearsals in central London, no matter how far afield the concerts are scheduled.

Malcolm Sargent, the great Choral Conductor after whom the Choir is named, wanted to bring great classical music to the general public at affordable prices.  The Choir is dedicated to continuing this practice.

In Simon Over and Nick O’Neill, the Choir has a dynamic duo as Conductor and Chorus Master.  Rehearsals are hard work but great fun and the aim is to attain the highest standard of music possible.

If you would like to join the Choir, or would like more information about the Choir, please contact the Chairman, Sylvia Darley OBE, at the Choir Office.
