It is hard to believe, but we have been in business now since 2004 when the Mattinson brothers, David and Peter, decided to bring together expertise from transport planning and recruitment.

With a high demand for professionals in a market that no other agency was exclusively specialising in, we were quick to establish ourselves as the go-to consultants. It was evident that our expert knowledge was a key differentiator from the competition; our team remain committed to delivering respected consultative advice to our clients and candidates.

The company has grown organically and steadily diversified, recruiting into the environment sector from 2007 followed by planning & civils in 2011. In 2012, we set up the Smarter Travel team combining sustainable transport expertise with our own recruitment capability. 2013 saw us opening an office in Glasgow to better serve our customers north of the border.

We have been through a global financial melt-down, a couple of recessions, 3 brands and 4 offices – but in spite of economic pressures we have always been profitable by staying true to our belief: an honest service delivered by hard working experts will always win through. By attracting like-minded professionals in to the business, we have grown to become one of the most highly respected recruitment consultancies in our markets.
