Maverick Gutarra

I learned Transcendental Meditation in 2012 thanks to David Lynch's book 'Catching the Big Fish' which inspired me to start my Transcendental Meditation practice.

It's probably the best thing I ever did with my life and I haven't missed a day of meditation since.

In 2014 I decided to do the Teacher Training Course and completed my education as a certified Transcendental Meditation teacher in March 2015.

I then worked at a TM centre in central London with a team of teachers for a year. In the spring of 2016, I moved to Mexico to teach Transcendental Meditation to high school children with the David Lynch Foundation. Now I'm currently teaching again in London and running my own TM centre.

My background includes a Bachelors and Postgraduate in Law. I've also studied European Languages and speak French, Spanish, German and Swedish.

I was born in Sweden and grew up in the United States. Most of my life has been spent in travel.

Outside of meditation, I focus my energies on keeping my rock and roll band rolling. I've written and recorded a few albums and TM has been integral to the creative process. Ideas flow easier and resistances lessen with meditation.

The thing I like about TM is that it's simple to do, you want to do it twice a day in the way you want to eat or sleep everyday. You don't need to change your lifestyle at all. No dogma is involved. Transcend, dive within the eternal and unmanifest field of life which resides latent in your own consciousness and enjoy life more and more.
