Megan Blake is the Director of the Masters in Food Security and Food Justice and Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Sheffield.  Dr Blake is a member of the Doncaster Food Partnership Steering Group and the Oxfam/Greater Manchester Poverty Action Special Interest Group on Food Poverty.  She is also a member of the Food Research Collaboration (http://foodresearch.org.uk/).

Megan researches the ways that the design of institutional, social and material contexts shapes food practices. In particular she is interested in 1) the ways that surplus food is created and may be used and 2) how communities can support the food resilience of low income people. She has just completed an ESRC IAA project with Doncaster Public Health concerning resilience in communities and healthy eating. You can read more about Megan's work on her blog, GeoFoodie.Org or see her University of Sheffield staff profile
