Over the past ten years  Melvin has assisted concerned local communities and their Councils worried about the potential impacts of wind energy applications, from single turbines to major wind farm projects. He has also worked in the UK and Eire with communities suffering the adverse health effects due to inappropriate proximity of wind turbines to residents' homes.
