The Mid-Devon Cycling Club was formed in 1930 and has a rich history and a reputation for producing some of the country’s leading riders including Colin Lewis, Roy Hopkins, Jeremy Hunt Yanto Barker, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke, Brennan Townsend, Seb Baylis, and Tom Baylis.
However the Mid-Devon CC isn’t just about elite competition, it is a thriving club with a diverse range of cycling activities to suit all ages and abilities. The club caters for Road, Track, MTB & Cyclo-Cross with organised weekly rides, social events and trips.
Mid-Devon CC is a British Cycling registered Go Ride Club and it's Club Mark accreditation acknowledges the club's high standards.
The club has six British Cycling Coaches who provide advice and guidance for members, they run special youth training sessions (8 to 16 years) and Women only coaching sessions.
Mid Devon CC organises and promotes a number of cycling events including Road, Time Trials, Cyclo-Cross, and MTB races. The club's flagship event is of course the extremely popular "Dartmoor Classic Sportive".
