Your time at University can be an amazing experience but it can also have a big impact on your wellbeing. Knowing how to look after your mental health is an important part of university life.

---

More students than ever are reporting mental health conditions. In a 2019 survey of UK students by Insights Network, 55.4 per cent of respondents either had a mental health diagnosis or had experienced a serious mental health problem. We believe that know how to look after your mental health is a key part of university life and that's why Teesside University is taking part in Mind's exciting Mentally Healthy Universities project. Universities transform lives through education and ground-breaking research. They are unique communities in which to study and work - with unique pressure to match. Looking after the minds of students and staff across universities and preventing poor mental health has never been more important.

---

As part of the project Mind is offering a series of mental health and wellbeing sessions specifically for university students. These sessions, which have been designed with students, will give you tools and techniques to look after your mental health and wellbeing at university and eventually into the workplace. They will also empower you to seek the right support if you need it during your studies.

---

All sessions will be delivered by experience mental health trainers and will provide a safe space to discuss mental health and learn from each other. They are open to students with or without lived experience of mental health problems.

---

Please see below for a list of upcoming sessions. If you have any questions please contact Project Coordinator Sinéad Murphy on sinead.murphy@middlesbroughandstocktonmind.org.uk or you can call/text 07860 719538.
