MOSAIQUES Festival was launched in 2000 at the Institut Français in South Kensington, London with the idea that individuals with their own culture, forms of artistic expression and unique stories could be brought together to create a new and magnificent whole.
In the belief that we can still be enriched by our cultural differences, MOSAIQUES continues to strive to be a haven of openness, multiculturalism and tolerance at a time when it can seem too much of the prevailing discourse involves reinforcing borders and building walls.
For its 16th edition, MOSAIQUES is broadening its scope and expanding its programme to cover two full days of events, across two venues.
Rich Mix in East London will be the core venue for the evening programme, with each of the two nights of the festival featuring three different acts.
Additionally, in the daytime, MOSAIQUES will be taking over Sonos Studio, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Richmix, for two afternoons of FREE activities: lunchtime gigs, panels, book reading, film screening, listening session, as a warm up for the main shows at Rich Mix.
