I was a primary school teacher for 13 years, with various subject leader roles including IT Coordinator. I was a member of the SLT for 5 years. I have always had a passion for developing life skills in children especially those that will enable them to thrive in a modern world.
I have been in this post for 3 years now and over that time I have trained over 20,000 people on the use of Office 365 applications in a variety of roles. I have been an MIE Expert for 3 years, a Microsoft Trainer for 2 years and was named Microsoft Trainer of the year 2019-2020. This year I qualified as an MIE Fellow, a role that requires me to lead the development of new technologies across the East Midlands region on behalf of Microsoft. I hold the accreditation MCE (Microsoft Certified Educator) which is based around 21st Century Learning Design and how we can incorporate life skills such as communication and collaboration into every aspect of the curriculum. I am also a Minecraft Certified Trainer and as such can lead on the development of this across the curriculum.
I run the training team for Our Learning Cloud, who is a Global Training Partner for Microsoft. Recently being promoted to Training Director. We run various events for staff to join, including the Incubator program - where we will take you through the process and application of becoming a showcase school.
