Nate Milam II
Hi! I’m Nate Milam II—rare disease warrior, advocate, and proud queer zebra! After surviving a rare immune disorder called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and undergoing a life-saving bone marrow transplant, I’ve turned my story into a mission: to uplift the voices of those living at the intersection of rare disease and LGBTQ+ identity. I’ve built community through advocacy, art, and bold storytelling, and now I’m bringing that energy to Pride Month with a campaign that’s as radiant as it is revolutionary. Through Stripes of Solidarity and projects like the Rare Rainbow Showcase, I aim to create joyful, inclusive spaces where we can be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Let’s make some noise, share our stripes, and show the world just how powerful rare and proud can be!
