Sassy Gregson-Williams of Naturally Sassy, is a cookery writer and creator of Ballet Blast, a fitness method that fuses high intensity training with classical dance principles.

Sassy first donned a pair of ballet shoes at the tender age of three and has barely stopped dancing since – though these days she’s hung-up her professional pointe shoes to focus on her Naturally Sassy brand.

As a professional ballet dancer, training up to 8 hours a day and working closely with sports nutritionists, Sassy soon learnt the importance of food and the power it has to make us feel and look our best. But the traditional ballet world is full of conflicting messages and she found herself to be increasingly miserable; on the one hand encouraged to think of herself as an athlete, and on the other to lose weight to attain the right ‘look’.

In the end it was Sassy’s love of cooking – for friends, family and her growing online community – that saw her through these vulnerable teenage years. She gave up dancing professionally and now focuses on the nourishing benefits of food.

Her mission is to create nutrient-packed recipes, and mood-enhancing (butt-lifting!) workouts, that inspire young women to educate themselves as to what their bodies need and, most important of all, to love the skin they’re in!
