NHS QUEST is the first member-convened network for Foundation Trusts who wish to focus relentlessly on improving quality and safety. NHS QUEST members work together, share challenges and design innovative solutions to provide the best care possible for patients.
Sir David Dalton, Chair of the NHS QUEST network comments: “NHS QUEST was founded by the NHS for the NHS, bringing together like-minded learning organisations that are committed to challenging each other to deliver continuous improvement. Together we aspire to excellence; reducing mortality, length of stay and readmissions whilst delivering the best possible care and patient experience.”
We wholeheartedly support leaders at all levels in our organisations from the Board to the bedside. We recognise the importance of developing the right culture so that our members consistently and reliably deliver the best possible care.
We organise our work under four primary drivers; leadership, improvement programmes, measurement and building capability.
QUEST members work as partners on improvement programmes. Our current programmes include a breakthrough series collaborative (managing deterioration), clinical communities (pressure ulcers; falls; nutrition and hydration; medication safety and safe handover) and a programme of peer site visits. We learn together and from one another, consistently measure and report improvement using a bespoke strategic dashboard and together, we galvanise our collective leadership and staff capability.
