North London Food Not Bombs

Food Not Bombs is dedicated to taking action around issues of capitalism, food waste, poverty, hunger and militarism that affect our society. We take positive direct action by gathering food that would otherwise be wasted, cooking it and serving it for free to anyone who is hungry. We hope to create vibrant and friendly communities that can work towards real social change together.

Food Not Bombs aims to provide a radical counter narrative to the current political and economic system by building our own sustainable and cooperative communities, demonstrating that we can replace the current violent and abusive system with one of cooperation, equality and abundance in very practical ways. We believe that sharing free food without restriction and expectations, and working in solidarity with those who we share our food with, is a revolutionary act in a culture that is devoted to profit and consumerism.
