Nottinghamshire Hospice serves the Nottinghamshire area, providing care for adults living with any life-limiting illness.
Nottinghamshire Hospice is a registered charity and all our services are provided free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. We need to raise £3 million per year to run the Hospice through our retail division, donations, legacies, weekly lottery and fundraising activities.
Our fundraising efforts mean that we can continue to provide our care to people living with life-threatening illnesses (and support for their families) which can be cancer and non-cancer including long-term conditions such as heart failure, COPD and neuro-degenerative illnesses (eg; MS, Parkinson’s disease and MND). As part of our ‘Sponsor a Hospice nurse appeal’ we aim to raise money to continue to fund our Hospice nurses who are providing care for over 1,000 people across Nottinghamshire with life-limiting and terminal illnesses in their own home. This service is offered to our patients free of charge but costs Nottinghamshire Hospice £280 for each overnight shift.
