Oksana

Oksana was introduced to Yoga in 2013 and has become a keen practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga ever since. She has undertaken the first teacher training course with YogaUnion in Bali and then went to India to KYM to go deeper into yoga philosophy and yoga therapy. She has developed a deep understanding of Yoga history and philosophy that relates to both body and mind and been a keen practitioner and learner.

She aims to teach, through yoga, an appreciation of our present state of being, mindfulness to help counteract the stresses of daily life. Her training, in the tradition of Professor Sri Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar, leads me to remain focused on the individual, recognising that each person is wonderful and unique.

Her classes combine the challenge and dynamism of Ashtanga Yoga with the awareness and self-discovery from KYM tradition. They are always very engaging, energetic with a lot of work on improving both mental and physical strength. She returns regularly to teach and study with Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, from where the original knowledge of yoga stems.
