Old Chapel Court Concerts

The Old Chapel Court Concerts in Tewkesbury are back in 2022!

The Musical & Amicable Society's concert with soprano Hannah Davey will now take place on Sunday 18 September, 3.30pm, when you can join them for a visit to JS Bach's musical household.

For the weekend of the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival we have Sirinu and a programme celebrating the White Rose of York and the Cross of Burgundy - music for Margaret of York, Duchess of Burgundy, the White Princess (Sunday 10 July, 3.30pm)

Musica Deo Sacra, Tewkesbury Abbey's festival of music within the liturgy, returns this summer and the Old Chapel Court Concerts present harpsichordist Nathaniel Mander with a programme of English music on Saturday 6 August, 3.00pm

Finally, after a two year delay we welcome Pellingman's Saraband (lutenist Jacob Heringman and viol player Susanna Pell) for their programme of Division Musick, on Sunday 4 September, 3.30pm.

Tickets will be available through Eventbrite for all performances.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Car: Take Junction 9 off the M5 and follow the signs to Tewkesbury Abbey.

There are numerous car parks nearby.

Rail: The nearest railway station is Ashchurch for Tewkesbury. There is a bus stop a short walk away for the 42 bus which will bring you into Tewkesbury.

Bus: As well as the bus that serves the railway station, there is also a regular service from Cheltenham (41) which stops in the Crescent, a short walk away. There is also a bus service from Gloucester (71) which stops in the town centre, again a short walk away.

Walk: If you are staying in Tewkesbury you’ll find most hotels and B&Bs are a short walk away from the Baptist Chapel, which is centrally located in Church Street.
