A Victorian, grade II listed school in the village of Old Wolverton, in the north-east of Milton Keynes, The Old School is Milton Keynes’s first co-operatively owned community building. Lovingly restored and converted in 2019 by local not-for-profit organisation, Future Wolverton, the Old School is now a community space that includes a beautiful hall, a cafe with a professional standard kitchen, and a charming three-bedroom Guest House.
Sitting next to the Ouse Valley Park, Grand Union Canal and Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve, The Old School is only a short stroll from the historic town centres of Wolverton (with its train station) and Stony Stratford, and a ten minute drive from all the shops, leisure and transport facilities of central Milton Keynes.
The Old School team host events throughout the year, as fundraisers and as part of our mission to bring opportunities, entertainment and support to our local community. Many local community organisations and independent companies run events, activities and workshops from the Old School, and Future Wolverton also works in partnership with local special needs schools, Slated Row and Walnuts, to provide invaluable real-world work experience and life skills to students, through the cafe and guest house. The Old School is also licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. You can see the full schedule for all the public events at the Old School on our websiteorfollow us on Facebook for the latest news.
