We are excited to launch a new programme for the Greenwich community to experience the church of St Alfege in a new light.

This programme offers a series of events for the community during the space of one week in August (14th-19th) all revolving around opera. This includes events for those who are completely new to opera as well as for opera fans.

The presence of Trinity Conservatoire in Greenwich provides our local community with a pool of musical talents for which St Alfege continued support with the Thursday lunchtime recitals has proven of vital importance.

Bringing together different generations of local talent into one programme of events is a unique opportunity to foster the artistic development of students, graduates and professionals, while offering the community an insight into the world of opera, its nuances and most importantly its relevance today.

This year, we are excited to offer a varied programme of events to launch the first ever St Alfege’s Opera Week.
