Our mobile application – Petiole Pro, helps to measure plant traits based on Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms. It helps with measurement of leaf area, chlorophyll content, canopy cover and counts seeds, flowers and fruits. Our mobile app measures plant traits in a more accurate, faster way and it can help with destructive or non destructive measurements.
Petiole Pro is available to work in the field, in a greenhouse, or in a lab and increases productivity of plant research by saving time spent on routine measuring tasks.Currently, we are developing the Computer Vision tool for strawberry yield prediction based on regular video capture of strawberry plants with the first stage – strawberry blossom counter, available for use.
Additionally, the company got funding from KTN Innovate UK to develop solution for monitoring and detection of False Codling Moths in chilli pepper in Kenya.
Some of our modules have already obtained a strong reputation among researchers. For example, the solution for leaf area measurement has been referenced in 30+ research papers, and published in the leading plant science resources: Frontiers in Plant Science, MDPI Plants, Environmental and Experimental Botany, etc.
