Reed Media is a social media consultancy run by Jon Reed. Jon has worked in social media since its earliest days, and has helped thousands of people use it effectively for marketing through his writing, blogging, speaking and workshops. He has also lectured on social media marketing on a number of university courses including Birkbeck, Brunel, City, Kingston, Bath Spa and UCL, and has taught a series of Guardian Masterclasses on social media for authors.

Jon previously worked in academic publishing for 10 years, including as publishing director for McGraw-Hill. The 2nd edition of his book Get Up to Speed with Online Marketing: How to use websites, blogs, social networking and much more to promote your business was published by Pearson Business in 2013. A free copy is included with every workshop place booked.

Jon also runs Publishing Talk, the blog, online learning community and magazine for authors and publishers. It has the largest publishing community on Twitter with over 330,000 followers, and is rated the most influential Twitter account about publishing by the Twitter directory WeFollow.
